ACC provides its website and ACC Mobile app to support church information, community and ministry. This policy explains the information processed, how it is used, who can access it and your choices.
Information we collect
For member accounts and church services, we may request your name, email, member/NIJ number, date of birth, gender, address, phone/WhatsApp number, GOLF membership and role, talents, and baptism, training, volunteer and ministry history. You may add an avatar and an emergency contact from outside your household. Ministry forms may include information needed for prayer, visits, marriage, child dedication or bereavement support. Provide only necessary information and ensure you are authorised to provide relatives’ or other people’s data. We handle information about religious life and ministry requests with care.
How we use information and who can access it
We use information for registration and authentication, profile verification, GOLF assignments, ministry follow-up, library services, activity records and church communications. Administrators manage church member information according to their duties. Members of the same GOLF group can view fellow members’ contact details, birth dates, addresses, roles and talents in My GOLF. Emergency contacts are accessible only to the profile owner, the leader of that same GOLF group and administrators; other members cannot access them. Leaders/treasurers manage funds within their authority, and the displayed balance is the group balance. ACC does not sell personal information for advertising. Information may be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect the service, limiting what is shared.
Notifications, preferences and consent
If you allow notifications, we store a device token to deliver church updates, devotions, birthday messages and messages based on your profile, GOLF or ministry. You can turn notifications off in the app settings or device settings. Language and theme preferences are saved for later visits. Clearing notifications in the app does not delete all account data. We use information to provide requested services and relevant church administration; where consent is required, you can refuse or withdraw it by contacting ACC. Refusal may limit features that need that information.
Cookies, technical data and third-party services
The website and portals use cookies/sessions for login and integrated access, and local storage for preferences. Systems may log IP addresses, access times, device/browser types, app versions, feature activity and technical errors for security and improvement. ACC uses Google for sign-in, Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications and YouTube for videos. Maps and WhatsApp links lead to their respective services. Where Google Analytics is enabled on an ACC service, usage measurement follows that service’s configuration. Providers may process device identifiers and technical information under their own policies, including outside Indonesia. Refusing necessary cookies or processing may affect sign-in or related features. ACC does not ask you to give us your Google password.
Security and retention
We use authentication, role-based access controls, HTTPS connections and backups with retention and capacity limits. Avatars are resized and photo metadata is removed; app avatars and emergency contacts are encrypted at rest. Church records do not all use the same storage method. Information is retained as needed for services, relevant administration and legal obligations; information no longer needed is reviewed for deletion. Backups may retain temporary copies until their retention period ends. No internet system can guarantee absolute security.
Your rights, corrections and account deletion
You can request access, a copy, correction or deletion of your information, object to processing or withdraw consent as applicable. You can update your address, WhatsApp number and avatar in your profile. Birth-date corrections and GOLF transfers are handled by administrators for verification. Delete account submits a request: app access and sessions are disabled, avatars and emergency contacts are removed, and administrators follow up on other account information. Baptism, ministry, GOLF, financial and church administration records are reviewed according to necessity and retention obligations; deleting the app account does not immediately erase all church records. We may verify identity before fulfilling a request to avoid disclosing data to the wrong person. You may also submit requests through ACC WhatsApp without using the app.
Children and family information
For services involving children, such as Sunday school or child dedication, information is provided by an authorised parent/guardian and used for the related ministry purpose. Parents/guardians can request correction or deletion through ACC. Do not provide children’s or relatives’ information without the necessary authority or consent. We do not use children’s information for personalised advertising.
Policy updates and external links
This policy covers the ACC website, ACC Mobile and connected account services. We may update it when features or data practices change. The update date appears on this page; material changes will be communicated through relevant services. Third-party sites have their own policies. The Indonesian version prevails if there is a difference in meaning between translations.
